CULTURA GENERAL

How is it going??

I guess much more relaxed after all the hard work you have been facing at this period of examinations and projects. Big CONGRATULATIONS again!

I wanted to share with you these awesome, fun and printable TABLE GAMES in English to enjoy with friends and family after lunch, in the morning or evening whilst hanging out with your love ones.

THINGS THAT YOU NEED TO START THE GAMES:

A dice

Some counters

The game board

And your talent!

LET'S START!

                        GAME 1: SNAKES AND LADDERS

SNAKES AND LADDERS RULES:

Ready, steady, go!

Roll your dice, go forward and answer the question stated on every square. Your opponent will check your answer from the ANSWER SHEET provided below. CAREFUL WITH TENSES . You won't be able to advance in the game you fail to provide an accurate grammar and vocabulary structure.

Please see below the QUESTIONS AND ANSWER KEYS that you and your opponents will share.

GAME 2: GAME OF GOOSE

RULES:

You have already played "EL JUEGO DE LA OCA", haven't you? So, it works exactly same way, but you will need to go throw the squares in English this time.

So, dice and counters, opponents and READY, STEADY, GO!

Go to the START SQUARE, throw your dice and advance. WATCH! beware of the SKULL AND THE WELL.If you trip over these squares , you will need to start again!

But don't worry, you can also slip over in the square GOOSE TO GOOSE, IT'S MY TURN AND I SHOOT, so you move again! Or...

  • If a piece lands on an enemy piece, the enemy square is returned to the space that the piece started from in that turn (i.e. the two pieces swap places).

  • If a piece lands on a square with a picture of a goose, it moves forward by same amount again. If this causes the piece to land on another goose, it moves forward again in the same way.

The following spaces are called Hazard spaces and are usually illustrated to match their name. If a piece lands on the space indicated, that piece must follow the stated rule.

  • The Bridge - Go to space 15

  • The Hotel - Stay for (miss) one turn

  • The Well - Wait until someone comes to pull you out - they then take your place

  • The Maze -Go back to space 29 (or space 30 in most French games)

  •  The Prison -Wait until someone comes to release you - they then take your place

  •  Death -Return your piece/ counter to the beginning - start the game again

GAME 3: TELL US ABOUT
RULES:

Equipment

The game is played on this spiral shaped board. There are four differently coloured pieces as in GOOSE GAME or SNAKES AND LADDERS.

Preparation and Objective

Pieces are placed on the starting space at the outside of the spiral. Highest roll of the dice starts.
It's  is a simple race game - first person to reach last square wins.

Play

Players take turns to roll the dice and moved their piece forward by the sum of the dice.

I hope you you enjoy and have fun in English!

Next post soon!
